وكل فرد يتخصص بما يناسبه ويحبه، حتى يكون من الجميع مجتمع متعلم ناهض.
ولقد حثنا الإسلام على العلم في مواضع كثيرة من كتاب الله وسنة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
فقال تعالى (وقل رب زدني علمًا)وقال سبحانه(قل هل يستوي الذين يعلمون والذين لا يعلمون)وقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم:من سلك طريقاً يلتمس فيه علماً سهل الله له طريقاً للجنة ،وإن الملائكة لتضع أجنحتها لطالب العلم رضاً بما صنع.

العلم يرفع بيتاً لا عماد له والجهل يهدم بيت العز والشرف.
وقد أدرك المسلمون الأوائل قيمة العلم، فأقبلوا على دراسته، وكانت المساجد تزدحم بحلقات العلم، وتقوم بدور المدارس والجامعات، حتى نبغ من أبناء الأمة الإسلامية علماء كبار في ميادين المعرفة كلها، وكانوا أساتذة الدنيا لمدة عشر قرون كاملة، وعنهم أخذ الغرب علمه، وبنى حضارته، فما أجدرنا أن نحيي اليوم ما بدأه أجدادنا من قبل في العلم والحضارة وصناعة الحياة.
هل رأيت طلاب المدارس الابتدائية يحملون حقائبهم في طريقهم إلى المدرسة ،يأتونها صغاراً، ويخرجون منها كبارًا، يتعلمون فيها القراءة والكتابة والحساب والعلوم وغيرها.هل رأيت طلاب المدارس المتوسطة والثانوية، ثم طلاب الجامعة الذين يتخرجون ويصبحون أطباء ومهندسين وحتى معلمين .
ومع ذلك ترى بعض الناس لا يحترمون المعلم، فيتكلمون في حصته ولا ينفذون أوامره وهو الذي يسر لهم الحياة بالعلم وقال الشاعر أحمد شوقي:

أن العلم ميراث الأنبياء.. والمال ميراث الملوك والأغنياء
أن العلم يحرس صاحبه… وصاحب المال يحرس ماله 0
أن العلم يزداد بالبذل والعطاء والمال تذهبه النفقات –( عدا الصدقة )
أن العلم يرافق صاحبه حتى في قبره والمال يفارقه
بعد موته إلا ما كان من صدقة جارية
أن العلم يحكم على المال فالعلم حاكم.. والمال محكوم عليه .
أن المال يحصل للبر والفاجر والمسلم والكافر.. أما العلم النافع
فلا يحصل إلا للمؤمن .
أن العالم يحتاج إليه الملوك ومن دونهم.. وصاحب المال
يحتاج إليه أهل العدم والفاقة والحاجة 0
أن صاحب المال قد يصبح معدماً فقيراً بين عشية أو ضحاها
والعلم لا يخشى عليه الفناء إلا بتفريط صاحبه .
أن المال يدعوالإنسان للدنيا والعلم يدعوه لعبادة ربه
أن المال قد يكون سبباً في هلاك صاحبه فكم أختطف من الأغنياء
بسبب مالهم !! أما العلم ففيه حياةٌ لصاحبه حتى بعد موته .
سعادة العلم دائمة وسعادة المال زائلة .
أن العالم قدره وقيمته في ذاته أما الغني فقيمته في ماله .
أن الغني يدعو الناس بماله إلي الدنيا والعالم يدعو الناس بعلمه إلي الآخرة .
و الإمام مالك حين قال : ” الحكمة والعمل نور يهدي به الله
من يشاء وليس بكثرة المسائل ، ولكن عليه علامة ظاهرة
وهو التجافي عن دار الغرور والإنابة إلي دار الخلود ”
وقد كانت هذه الكلمات من الإمام مالك قبساً من نور تكلمت به
شفتا ابن مسعود رضى الله عنه من قبل حين قال :
( ليس العلم بكثرة الرواية إنما العلم خشية الله )

وما الفضل لأهل العلم انهم …….. همُ لمن اراد الهدى أدلاءُ
